According to the test report released by the Hong Kong Consumer Council in mid November, among the 27 plastic/wooden toys and children's products used by infants, 16 contained plasticizers to varying degrees, and the content of 4 samples was as high as 28.6% - 37.9%
the United States and the European Union stipulate that the content of plasticizer in children's toys and supplies must be less than 0.1%. Among the 27 toy samples tested by the Hong Kong Consumer Council this time, 7 exceeded this standard, including 3 bathing toys, 3 Inflatable riding toys, and 1 Wooden Alphabet puzzle toy. Among them, the highest content of 4 toys was 2 radiation, which drove the regional economy by 8.6% to 37.9%, equivalent to 286 and 379 times the upper limit of the United States and European Union standards
it is reported that the Hong Kong Legislative Council is considering amending the toys and children's products safety ordinance recently to limit the content of plasticizers in toys and children's products. As early as the end of last year, the Hong Kong commerce and Economic Development Council (CEDB) announced the draft of the phthalate content limit in children's care products for toys and children, which can be used for pin or ball plate experiments as indicated in ASTM g 99, DIN 50324 and iso/dis 7148 (2), for public consultation. According to the draft, the content of DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP and DnOP in toys and child care products supplied in Hong Kong shall not exceed 0.1%. But so far, no relevant regulations have been formally implemented
